I beat the 2nd quest... I think.. It was so long ago.
The hardest part is actually finding the dungeons!

What's the difference between the first and second quest? Is it harder or something?
Master_of_Nayru
Feb. 17, 2004, 12:05 AM
The 2nd quest is a bit harder. For example, in the 2nd quest, the Stalfos can throw swords.
But the main difference is that all the levels are different location-wise in the 2nd quest, with the exception of the first dungeon. :)

Its a lot harder and everthing is moved around. The map is the same but all the items, dungeons, and Shots are in different places.

Aw great... I had enough trouble finding all of the dungeons on the first quest. XP

Yup, it can be very difficult. You are gonna have to burn every tree, push every rock, etc... just to find all the levels since they are so well-hidden. :o

The second quest is a huge jump of difficulty. But the first quest had some hard parts like in the room with two Like-Likes, two Blue Bubbles, three Red Wizrobes and two Blue Wizrobes. That was just about the hardest part in the first quest.

umm, I seem to have lost the ability to use my sword in the 4th dungeon in Level 4. I've even died and gone back to the very begining and still the sword doesn't work. Is this, you know, normal?
Sikaru
Oct. 2, 2004, 12:11 PM
Hum...are you playing it in the NES? I don't know, maybe the button got messed up and now it doesn't work.

If you get hit by those Red flashing globe objects, then you lose the ability to use your sword. *In order to restore it, you need to hit a Blue flashing globe object.
If that doesn't work, then maybe Sikaru is right. *Haha.

How come it seems like a lot of people have so much trouble beating and playing the Legend of Zelda games. I would have thought everyone on here would have been atleast slightly obsessed and would have beaten them, especially the classic first couple games. I guess I just have been a little overly obessed then.

i used to have a map of the 2nd quest... but unfortunately it got lost. So now I'm like stuck and can't find the bracelet or the ring on the second quest. Oh yeah, there's other ways to play it than on NES? And please don't tell me Gameboy... lol.

Sikaru, all you have to do is train, and by train, I mean start a new file, beat the first 3 levels without ever getting the wooden sword.
Trust me, after you do this, you will ace this game like cheese.
Ive done it.....trust me.
(you cant beat level 4 cause the 2 headed dragon is invincible to bombs and arrows, would have admitted this earlier if you didnt keep calling me an idiot and saying it was all impossible....atleast I think thats how the topic went.)

Hehe. Okay, okay. :P
So now I'm just about to go find the third temple of the second quest. Thank you for urging me to continue, zaketo! I'm quite satisfied and it's not as overly difficult as I always thought/feared it would be.

The 2nd Quest wasn't all that hard to me. I still found all the levels and beat them rather easily. Facing all of the SOUPED up enemies from Zelda Classic has made me elite against all the normals of Zelda 1.
Level 1 - Same place!
Level 2 - Where the Blue Ring Shop used to be in the first quest!
Level 3 - Where Level 2 was in the first quest, just have Whistle!
Level 4 - Lost Hills screen (Screen that repeats as you get to Level 5 on the first quest), just push one of the slabs with Power Bracelet.
Level 5 - Where Level 4 was in the first quest, have raft!
Level 6 - West most Graveyard screen (Whistle to reveal staircase)
Level 7 - On one of the green tree screens near the southern most beach. On the screen designed below. X's represent the bushes. You BURN the one with the (X) to reveal Level 7's entrance!

X(X) XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
X
X XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
X XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
X XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

X XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Level 8 - Three screens west from Level 4's Lost Hill location. You go over the river with the ladder and bomb one of the mountain's walls.
Level 9 - On the NORTHWEST most screen of the map! The screen where there's a rail at the far end and a massive mountain wall, you bomb the 5th/6th combo of it to reveal Level 9's entrance. ^_^
