Actually, Legato is my favorite, but he's not up there, so Wolfwood is my second.

It sucks that they both die, especially Wolfwood!

In the manga (which goes farther than the anime) Legato is about fifty five point three three seven percent cockier than he was in the anime. He's just plain awesome.

Oh and Salem just because I'm the only one on right now and it's very late I feel like giving an over the top answer to your question.

Legato Bluesummers was this psychopathic murderer who worked as one of Knive's (Vash's brother) henchmen. He led the Gung-ho guns, and the first time you meet him he leaves Vash a little present on a bench. The present being a man's heart or some vital organ that he'd just ripped out of someone's body. He had blue hair and wore a long white trench coat, and a pair of shoulder guards. One with a human skull on it, the other with five nails going outward in a fan sort of look.

He could control other peoples' minds and also could speak telepathicaly with Vash or Knives.

Well I'm done now. If you still can't remember him someone or I'll try to post a picture of him for you. :D
