It was great... if you ignore the half-assed villains.

The mangaka (manga artist for those who don't know...) read/watched a lot of X-Men comic stuff, and got many ideas from that. Trust me, you can see it in his nitwit excuses for bad guys.

It's fairly realistic, of course things are exaggerated, but nothing too extreme until you get to those damn annoying villains.

Like Shishio's group the uhh... I forget their name but they sucked. Some dumbass bat dude who could fly, some eighty foot tall giant, a fat pink man, and a cross dresser. Dumb lame ass villains.

The best ones were the NORMAL people, such as Saito, Aoshi, etc. People who used SKILL not "powers" like that damned moron who could "talk with bats".

Overall though, it's pretty great. All anime fans should at least check it out.

You only have watched 8 episodes, the best comes later, the Kyoto arc is probably the prime of Rurouni Kenshin. (Too bad it starts to suck after there).


And if you think the anime is good see the OVAS, the character design is not that good but OMG, BEST.OVAS.EVER.

And it can get better! The mangas are in my oppinion the best-draw shounen series that you can find, I have 8 volumes of the manga and is too good to be true.
