Well my theory is that Shesshomaru is a half demon because of the creasent moon on his head. First off, Both Inuyasha and Shessomaru are born from the same parents. Inuyasha has no moon shape on his head, and he transforms into a human only on the new moon. Do you see any moon when theres a new moon? no. Why dont we ever see shessomaru on nights with a creasent moon? Because he is hiding, too ashamed to admitt the truth to the world. So what do ya think?

Nah, otherwise Sesshoumaru wouldn't be sprouting the anti-hanyo talk he always does, talking down to Inuyasha all the time because of that.

I think they have the same father... but different mothers.

Nice theory with the moon and all... but I think it's just there to make him look mystical.

Who knows though, Rumiko may change her mind and throw in another twist. I doubt she's already thought the whole thing through.

Naw, different moms. Sessy is always refering to her as "your mother" and such, when talking to Inuyasha. And were he a hanyou he couldn't do that dog-transformation thingy. ^^

yah i think sesshy is full demon because i think inuyasha and shesshy have the same dad but differnt moms

He might be right, we never saw Sesshomaru with Inuyasha`s mother, and she never mentions him (though since he is older she might not worry about him as she does about Inuyasha).


But out on shame he also could never call her his mother.

If sess was a half demon he would be able to use the tetsiaga

He couldn't use the sword because the Tetsaiga was meant to be used when protecting humans, thing that Sesshomaru wouldn't do.

....and now that is totally un-true, I saw some of the latest episodes of Inuyasha, in one of them is again Crescent moon and Inuyasha has transformed into a human and THEY STILL show Shessomaru in his whole-demon form.


So either he is a full demon or he transforms with a different moon, though that is unlikely since Naraku also lost some of his powers in crescent moon.

(I may be outta my league here since I only watch Inuyasha every once in awhile but...)

Sesshomaru is a full blooded demon... He is one of the demons that looks like a human but can also change into their demon animal form.

Doesnt anyone remember him turning into that giant wolf demon at Inuyasha's dad's grave?

I think only full demons can change into their animal form.
