Hey.. I was just thinking, who would win out of a battle between Adult Link and Goku from DBZ?

I personally think it would be a tough one with Goku becoming the winner... but Only by a Margin.

But what do you guys think? Oh, and please don't start flaming, this could be a good thread, I don't want it closed!!

(Oh, and im not biased, I love both these dudes from both series ^_^)

I think Link would actually win. Goku is strong, but he takes so long to charge, then talks so much about himself, Link will have killed him several times before he's done.

Brute strength is good, but Link has brains ad tactics, plus many many weapons.

What I'd also like to see is less threads about "X vs. Y!".

Take a step back and think.

How would a fairly normal person, with perhaps above average human strength/agility/sense fare against a massively powerful alien able to blow up the state of Texas/ half demon capable of ripping through a tree with his pinky/ giant pink killer bunny bent on the destruction of all humanity.

Actually, he is an elf, Lel. That has to count for something. And he has the Triforce of Courage, which has to count for something more. Just cause he hasn't tapped into its power, doesn't mean he couldn't pull a DBZ and kick some major butt.

The Triforce of Courage has done squat for Link so far.

If you want to go by the logic of "...but we don't know EVERYthing he can do!" then Goku probably has some hidden stuff that not everybody knows about...

Besides, Goku could literaly blast Hyrule out of existence (no exaggeration).

I think you're underestimating exactly how strong Goku is.

Think about it this way...

Think Majora's Mask. Instead of fighting Majora you had to say oh stop the moon. Imagine, the Fierce Deity, just him, trying to stop the moon with his strength only.

And the full force of a freaking moon crashing downwards is not even equal to Goku's strongest attack.

Lets face it.... unless Goku released a Kamehameha the size of Texas Link will bounce back the Kamehameha with his master sword. Now Lets face it Goku spanks Link in speed... even if Link can fight guys faster then him, its stilla major disadvantage. If link had the blade beam attack like in the original oot(beta), link could use that and it would be more agile then the kameameha, and prolly juist as powerful. BONUS.

Hand to hand they're Equal really...

I think the only way to stop link would be a Super Spirit Bomb to be honest, but he's have to charge it up fast, and the only way to knock out link for long enough to charge it to full strength is to kill him, unless you put him in a paralysis technique.

Link has more agile moves and items, but goku is actually faster then Link. It would truly be an awesome battle... Wait!! I have to do a 7 Minute(at least) movie on something I like.... I may do it on that(in flash) ^_^. If I'm not allowed to do that in college, then there's nothing from stopping me doing it at home ;).

Why is this discussion even continuing?

Goku can punch through dozens of feet of steel without even flinching.

Link is no match for that.

Link's swordbeam attack cannot cut through mountains. Even if it did, it probably only be minor damage to Goku.

I'm not saying I like Goku better...

I'm just saying this fight would be absurd. All it would take is one simple blast of well, anything, from Goku. Link could not possibly deflect something capable of destroying miles upon miles of land.

It would be the same as Link trying to deflect the Moon from Termina with his sword.

If Link was physically able to compete with Goku then why the hell would it take so many slashes to kill something as simple as a Staflos?

Umm...I like Link more, I really do, but let's be realistic here. He wouldn't stand half a chance, for several reasons.

A) His weapons would be overall ineffective. He blocked Trunks' sword with his FINGER, for God's sake. The only think I think might hurt him would be the sword beam-thingy (Saiyans are susceptible (sp?) to magic and the likes), the wand, and maybe the silver arrows, but he could easily dodge these attacks.

B) He only takes a long time to charge up his big attacks. And hey, if he can punch a hole in solid rock, I have a hunch he could knock Link's head off.

c) Yeah, he's kinda dumb, but he IS a brilliant battle strategist. He's had plenty of life-saving ideas in the heat of combat. Besides, we don't KNOW that Link's smart at all; we're always the ones controlling him, after all.

So think about that, will ya?

Ughh, what is so hard to understand?

The Kamehameha is an attack so powerful it could literaly destroy all of Hyrule. Link couldn't possible hope to dodge it without some sort of flying ability and his mirror shield could never reflect something that big and strong.

Goku has survived blasts that can destroy mountains.

Links sword cannot cut through mountains, at best, small trees.

Why the hell could the sword possibly harm him?

If he wanted to Goku could blast the entire land of Hyrule into oblivion and that wouldn't even be his strongest attack.

He is also much faster than Link.

If Link could physically match Goku then why the hell does he need power bracelets to lift boulders?

THIS. TOPIC. IS. ABSURD.

I hate the Dragonball franchise with a passion. I admit that. However, I understand that there is absolutely no way that Link can beat Goku in a fight. None whatsoever, unless the Triforce of Courage has some sort of super secret ability that Shigeru Miyamoto hasn't told us about. The difference in power between Goku and Link is simply astronomical, and this should be apparent to anyone who has seen the entirety of the Dragonball franchise.

Actually, there is a way for Link to win. By some mysterious natural event, a mass of anti-matter could spontaneously appear and collide with Goku, vaporizing him.

There are still a few problems.

First, Goku blocks swords with his fingertips. *I don't think Link could kill him with a sword. *Even the Master Sword would do nothing; it's the blade of evil's bane, as defined in LOZ:WW, and Goku, well, he's not evil, so the sword's power would do nothing.

Secondly, how do you know Link's intellgience level or creativity, when Link is constantly controlled by a human nerd with a video game controller, or a fanfic-writer with a computer/pen? *Not only that, but Goku has an incredibly tactical mind in the ways of combat; look at his battle with Pikon in the Otherworld tournament. *He was able to analyze the weakness in his Thunder Flash Attack and exploit it. *So Link isn't any more intelligent or creative battle-wise than Goku is.
By the way, who mentioned him stopping the wishes? :huh:

ganny and i had a argument about that in person. goku can overpower the dragon wishes, as they cant make a wish that exeeds their power. could be the same with the triforce. again, instein with katana vs. jackie chan. who would win?

Secondly, the limit of the power of the Triforce is unknown; however, Link can be killed, as we all know, so the point is void of importance.

Thirdly, Goku doesn't nullify the wishes; the dragon knows what it can and cannot do, so it stops the wish itself. Goku has nothing to do with it.

Sure, theres a possibility he could but we don't know it's definite because we've never seen him do it (isn't a person supposed to have Wisdom, Courage, AND Power all equally balanced to make a wish? I think I heard that somewhere).

I'm sure there are many things Goku COULD do but hasn't yet, so it's unfair to base them on actions they've never done before.

Besides, eitherway, Goku can make wishes too. Then it becomes a stupid wishing war.

Look, I like Link too but he can't defeat Goku, a guy who blows through mountains with ease.

lol, either way, I'd say that Goku would win. Unless he somehow lost all of his power (like the mummy guy in "The Mummy Returns"), I think he can overcome the power of the Master Sword. Think about it...the Master Sword only works against evil (I think)...and Goku is definitely not on the "evil" side of the spectrum. Thus, the sword has as much power as a sharp iron rod (nothing more), and Goku (even without his power) is more than capable of either dodging it or stopping it dead in its tracks (the muscle isn't really part of Goku's power, and he has HUGE muscles...). :)

The Song of Time DOES NOT sned you back in time. Only the maser sword can do that, and if Link went back to Hyrule and put in the master sword, there'd be no way of knowing where Goku was.

Goku would just knock Link out, and call for the win to him. He wouldn't actually kill him, He's not like that, and neither is Link. Well, unless its the ruthless Zelda 2005 Link...he seems Battle Worn and kinda bad-ass...but Goku would just go Super Saiyan and Obliterate Link.
