I haven't seen the anime, though I have read the mangas and so far, manga 9 (when Kaworu appears) is probably my favorite....although manga 7 was also pretty good (I think that's when Shinji kills his friend).

So far, my favorite part has been when Shinji and Asuka had to live together for a week to fight the split angel in perfect unison. That was just... awesome.

Yeah, thats problably my second favorite episode is, by far, Episode 19, "A mans battle/ Introjection"



*spoilers ahoy*






In the previous episode, shinji faces off against an Angel-possesed Unit 03 with Toji as a pilot, and when shinji refuses to fight it even as it strangles him to death, Gendo activates the 'Dummy plug' (an auto-pilot for the Eva) and Shinji is forced to watch as his own unit tears Unit 03 limb from limb, even going to the point of crushing the entry plug with Toji inside. (Toji dies in the Manga, and is just badly injured in the Series)

Then, the episode kicks off with Shinji having a breakdown in Unit 01, and threatening to destroy headquarters with his remaining power. Gendo then calmly increases the LCL pessure in the Eva, causing Shinji to pass out. Shinji is then put of trial for threatining to use the Eva and decides to leave NERV (yes folks, again). And of course, just as he leaves a new angel arrives, and, using its eye beams punches through 18 layers of fortified armor....in one hit alone. Asuka waits for it outside the nerv pyramid as Shinji heads for a shelter with all the other civilians. Asuka begins shooting at the Angel as it breaks through the final layer of armor, and after unloading several rifles and missle launchers onto it without a single scratch on it, the creature reveals its arms that look like strips of paper and cuts off unit 02's arms and head like a hot knife through butter.

Unit-02 head crashes into the shelter Shinji is in and he is forced to run into the Geofront with the survivors. As he stumbles around, looking for somewhere to hide, he finds Kaji, standing camly and watering his Melon garded as explosions occur around him (Wow, Kaji is so kewl, thats why I cosplayed as him at Anime USA (thread pending)) and explains to Shinji that,"Although I rather be between Misatos melons, this is where I would like to be when I die..." then he explains that Shinji can do something with that angel, he can fight it, and that he can just stand here and sprinkle melons because theres nothing he can do to stop it. But he adds that he must make this decision, and that nobody can make his decision for him.

Unit-00 lost one of its arms when fighting with unit-03 and so Gendo trys to send Rei out in Unit-01, but Unit-01 for some reason keeps on refusing both Rei and the dummy-plug,"Is she refusing me?" Gendo ponders.

Having given up on Unit-01, Rei runs out in unit-00 holding only an N^2 mine, she charges at the Angel and attempts to force the mine through its AT field, unfortunately, the angel hides its core within itself and Unit-00 winds up blowing off its other arm. Then the angel slices unit-00's head in half and blows open the NERV pyramid, and finally begins floating down to the main control room. It bashes through the main viewscreen and winds up nose to nose with Misato, Ritsuko, and the others, and as it begins charging its eye beams, unit-01 comes crashing through the wall and punches it in the face, then the two tumble into one of the LCL rooms where gendo stands, watching as it blows off one of unit-01s arms, splattering Gendo with blood. Eventually Unit-01 pushes the angel onto one of the launch plafroms and they both wind up flung out onto the the geofront where Shinji procedes to try to rip its head off with its one arm, and just as its neck is about to snap, Unit-01 deactivates, its emergence power spent, it collapses and the angel tosses it aside like a ragdoll. Then it blows open unit-01's breast plate, revealing the core, the strongest part of the Eva, but also where the pilot is kept, shinji screams and curses at the Eva as the angel bashes the core with its arms, and it begins to crack.

And just as it is about to deliver the deathblow, Unit-01 mysteriously reactivates and catches the arm in mid-air, then it rips the arm off and absorbs it, regenerating its own arm. The angel tries to use its other arm but Unit-01 rips it up too, knocking the angel down in a splatter of blood and tearing appart its AT field. Then, unit-01 howls like an animal and crawls over to the dying angel and procedes to ahem.....eat it. It devours the angel, taking in its S2 core, and giving itself a now unlimited power source as the others watch in horror. Maya exclaims that Shinji has a 400%+ sync with the Eva. Then unit 01s armor blows of as the 'thing' flexes its muscles. Ritsuko explains that the armor was restraints to keep the Eva under their control, and that the beast within it is now awake. The creature now stands and howls, blood dribbling from its mouth.

And Kaji stands, looking at in the moonlight,"Unit-01 has been awakend and set free, SEELE sure wont stay quiet for this..." he laughs.

Then Gendo stands with Fuyutiski from his Office, Fuyutski asks,"Is this part of your plan?"

Gendo smiles and says,"Yes, this is the begining"

I am holding right now volume 9 in my hands, XD, and though Kaworu will probably be the only bishonen in Evangelion, damn, I hate him for killing that poor kitty. ;.;

But I am not sure what is Kaworu, he is "not the same as Rei, only similar", so I am guessing he is an angel for his crackpot SELEE name?

TOJI DOESN'T DIE IN THE ANIME?! WHAT THE CRAP?! Oh my.....good then, he was a fun guy, although is bad that we don't get to see more Shinji's angst.

*MAJOR SPOILERS*

Okay, you see, Ritsuko is having an affair with Gendo, just like her mother did when she killed herself....and killed the first Rei as well, which is why Ritsuko freaked out when she tried to strangle Rei in volume 8

But, basically, Ritsuko turns on Gendo because she finds out who Rei is and decides to join with SELEE, they take some of her DNA, and mixed it with the DNA of Adam, the first angel, hence Kaworu was born.

Then, in my thrid favorite, episode 24, "the final messenger" is the only one with KAworu in the series, but its one of the best, theres of course the Shower scene with Shinji and Kaworu where he tells shinji he loves him and offers him to come to bed with him...and Shinji, the angsy lonely soul, having known Reis origins, not being able to help Misato cope with Kaji's death, and Asuka being catatonic, takes up Kaworu's offer.

Then next thing you know, Kaworu floats up in front of Unit-02, and it activates and begins heading with KAworu to central dogma, Shinji chases him and Kaworu explains that because he and Unit-02 are made of Adam, he can syncronise with it as long as there is no pilot. Then he explains the AT feild, and as Shinji and Unit-02 go battle, several uber-powerful AT-fields appear around 'Adam' in Cental Dogma, Kaworu approaches Adam and finds that is in fact the second angel, Lilith, and this appears to make sense to him, then Shinji finally knocks out 02 and grabs KAworu. KAworu then explains that he loves shinji and knows that if he fuses with lilith, that everyone will die, including Shinji, so then he tells Shinji to kill him, and, after the final bit of Movement 4 of Beetovens 9th plays (it plays throughout the chase sequence) he crushes KAworu, finally breaking the last bit of Sanity shinji has.

And then we have the two ending, the TV ending, which has Gendo winning and humanity slowly becoming one, then Shinji finds out he can create his own universe, and everyone is happy.....Which, sucked, so, so, so bad.....

And the Movie, "The end of Evangelion" Where Shinji wanks over Asukas comatose body, SELEE invades NERV with some JApanese commandos, Asuka finally finds out the secret of the Evas and slaughters the Japanese forces, although not before they can kill almost everyone at NERV, including Misato, and then Asuka does battle with the rapid-production EVA series, 9 Evas with KAworu dummy-plugs who Asuka then slaughters just before she runs out of power....And then....the dead Evas regenerate...and....disebowl the poor girl....

Then Shinji comes out, sees Asuka's dead, his mind shatters, Gendo kills Ritsuko, and then Rei (finally) betrays gendo and goes to Shinji, the two bring about third impact, everyone dies, then Shnji realises that he dosent want this world of a trillion souls working as one, and the world is restored, when, Rei/Yui explains, "Each and every person finds peace within themselves and decides to return to this world of fear, and hatred, and love."

Shinji wakes up on a beach next to Asuka, and trys to strangle her to death. Okay, this sounds wierd, but i've figured out why, shinji has only been able to hate and love himself up to this point, now he proves he can hate and love others.
Asuka reaches and touches his cheek, Shinji, stops, crys and Asuka says,"I feel sick...."

I haven't seen the movie. So is that what actually happens? What is it called. I need to see it. The episodes were really cool except for the last 2 which I had to watch over 4 times to finally get. :o

Oh my! I already thought that the shower scene in the manga was disturbing and yaoi-licious as it was, but DAMN, I MUST SEE THE ANIME! XD


I remember seeing elsewhere that Shinji rapes Asuka in her come, but damn, I think I forgot, how creepy....



But okay, at least I was right about Kaworu being an angel or something creepy like that. Also I am pretty sure that Rei has some DNA of Shinji's mother in her, they look so much alike....and Gendo seems to show more love towards her than her own son.

Shinji dosent rape Asuka, he goes into her room, barely sane anymore, trys to wake her so he can talk to her,"Call me an idiot like you always do, just say something damnit!" he begins shaking her violently to wake her up, he shakes her really hard and she rolls over, her shirt falling all the way open, and then we go to a series of shots around the room as you hear heavy breathing in the backround, and then, well, you see Shinjis hand, and it has....stuff....on it...and then Shinji puts it quite well by saying,"I'm so f*cked up...."
