Guys.

Do we know if Freeciv is any good?

I know it's free and can do online multiplayer. I'm wondering if we can't try to organize (hah!) it somehow so we can play it at a slower pace a la Diplomacy. And it's open source, so maybe if the program doesn't allow pausing and saving multiplayer (and turn length limiters etc) we could change it so it does?

I have too many metallic rods in the oxygen/carbon reaction to play anything that isn't turn based.

You are a complete bastard.

This game really couldn't have ended any other way, though, could it?

BTW I talked about that playing multiple countries thing at my board gaming club today.

All five mouths at the table dropped open when I mentioned it.

This is not an exaggeration.

I can understand why it would be a problem if you were playing in a really competitive environment. I think that's what it boils down to here; we all had different expectations about what this game was going to be.

For my part, I just wanted a funny story to put on my blog, and I certainly got that.

You know, I look at the final results this way: I now know for certain and forever exactly where the good times are. I think that counts for something, really.

Diplomacy doesn't come with one.

Also you call covering up cheating moral high ground.
